This is an overview of the models and terminology used in the daily work by the Strategy Team and expressed recommendations in the broadcasts and publications.
Using above mentioned models in combination with fundamental analysis and (some times) a discretionary view on the crosses, we try to find optimal entry points based on a variety of trading tactics.
Using a combination of our models and classical support-resistance identification, we try to place orders or take outright positions before important economic data releases, which might be used as a trigger for a larger movement. These trades are generally for the very short term.
Especially for Carry Trade crosses, above models can assist in finding entry points for longer-term positions. Fundamental research and the use of more complex market correlations are also important inputs for the longer-term trades. It is quite seldom, though, that our positions are held for more than a few weeks.
